Surf Trip Checklist

If you’re like me, whenever you travel you wait until the last second to pack your bags and end up having a minor panic attack… By doing this I often end up forgetting things so I created a little checklist essentials for surf trips so I don’t find myself in some remote location missing essential pieces of gear. Hopefully this helps a few people out!

  • Passport
  • Surfboards
  • Fins
  • Leashes
  • Wax
  • Wax comb
  • Fin key
  • Extra leash string
  • Soft roof rack
  • Tie down straps
  • Towels
  • Board shorts (or wetsuits)
  • Ding repair kit
    • Solarez (or resin & catalyst)
    • Cloth
    • Sand Paper
    • Razor blade
  • Ding Tape
  • Med kit
    • Bandaids
    • Hydrogen peroxide
    • Neosporin
    • Iodine
    • Micropore tape
    • Gauze
    • Butterfly bandaids
    • Tums (or antacid)
    • Tylenol
    • Dayquil
    • Benadryl
    • Charcoal pills
  • Duct tape
  • Sewing kit
  • Ear plugs
  • Sunglasses
  • Clothes (shirts, shorts/pants, sweatshirt, rain coat, underwear)
  • Phone charger
  • Paper clip (to pop SIM card out of phone)
  • Headphones
  • Portable speaker (and charger)
  • Playing cards
  • Mask and snorkel?
  • Swim fins
  • Wall charger adapter (other countries have different wall outlets, invest in a decent adapter before you leave)
  •  A good book

Before you leave make sure to check your passport and make sure it’s valid for at least 6 months before your departure date! They won’t let you on the plane if it’s not… I’ve had to cancel a trip due to this before and it absolutely sucks, so don’t let this happen to you!
