• Best Location in San Diego: Of all the Surf Shops and Surf Schools in San Diego, we have the best location of anyone. We’re located directly on the Boardwalk in Pacific Beach. The surf is literally steps from our front door! Our lessons take place directly in front of the shop, so you won’t have to lug your equipment down to the beach. Our location also ensures that, unlike other surf schools, you’ll be receiving dry, fresh, and clean wetsuits rather than ones that are still wet and sandy from the person who returned it 5 minutes before you showed up. We also have a hot shower outside on our deck, benches to relax and check the surf from, lockers to store your belongings and a bathroom and changing room.
• Surf Culture Immersion: We provide more than just lessons. At Pacific Beach Surf Shop, you’ll gain a deep appreciation for the rich history of San Diego surf culture, with access to our shop’s various amenities. For more advanced surfers in your group who want to rent glassed surfboards (hard boards) we have a wide variety of shapes from many of the top shapers in San Diego and Southern California.

• Smaller Group Sizes: To ensure maximum attention and safety, we limit our group sizes for lessons to a 5:1 student to instructor ratio. • Large Group Discounts: For groups of 10 and larger we offer special pricing that we don’t have listed online. The more people in your group the cheaper your rate will be! Please note that for large group surf lessons the city of San Diego caps us at 25 people in the water at one time, so if your group is larger than that we’ll have to break it up into different time slots. In the past we’ve accommodated bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday groups, wedding parties, corporate events, school excursions, sports teams and many other large groups!
• Regularly Scheduled Lesson/Event Discounts: We can schedule your group or organization to have weekly, monthly, or seasonal lessons and rentals with us. We currently work with multiple local organizations who schedule seasonal weekly lessons and clinics with us, including Qualcomm and King Chavez charter school’s surf club. Whatever your scheduling needs are, we can accommodate you! By scheduling your group for recurring lessons/clinics we can pass along great discounts to you!
• Partner Discounts: We offer great discounts on rentals to employees, club members, and students of organizations who partner with us. For those who want to surf outside of their regularly scheduled lessons or who already know how to surf and don’t need lessons, we offer special rates on all of our rentals. These special rates can also be applied to skateboard, bike, body board, and beach chair rentals as well if you don’t want to surf while at the beach!
